First, a little about us.

Calabash is a full-service video production and content creation company based in the Cayman Islands.

We create online advertisements, web series, campaign videos, social media content, from short-form event recaps, to long-form documentaries and everything in between.

 

The Opportunity

Our goal is to create 6 months of content for you to use on your digital channels, increasing your brand awareness and customer outreach.

This content library will mainly consist of a new concept style video series. We think there is a huge opportunity to engage with potential buyers by leveraging talent that already exists within the brokerage, your agents!

The Difference

The videos we see online usually follow a common format. The first thing you often see is a logo, then a quick greeting and intro by an agent, followed by shots of the interior of a home, some music and then another logo, the end.

This style technically works and definitely has a place, but we think there is an opportunity to do so much more, while also setting yourself apart from the other brokerages on island.

 
 

Don’t be content with your Content.

So how do we do that?

Create content that has a life online longer than the duration of a listing. Focus on topics and not listings.

Creating videos that is specifically tailored to short attention, swiping audiences. Straight to the point, time is limited on social media.

Comparisons.

Your buyers have the opportunity to feel like they are getting insider information. Especially if they are relocating, they might not be familiar with the Island. This information has value, and currently we don’t see many people doing this.

We think great series to start with would be comparison videos. Viewers can hear what an agent thinks about one location vs another, for example what does $2m get you in Grand Harbour compared to $2m on SMB?

We think this works best with a two-agent approach, to the viewer it would feel more like we are apart of a conversation instead of being presented information so formally. The aim is to feel more natural and removes a lot of awkwardness for agents.

 

Tours.

Your buyers have the opportunity to feel like they are getting insider information. Especially if they are relocating, they might not be familiar with the Island. They can hear what an agent thinks about one location vs another, for example if you are into boating you might want to consider Grand Harbour over South Sound.

They key here is to watch two personalities discuss this topic. The mood is less stuffy and salesman, and more exclusive and personal.

When can we get started?

Pre-Production would start in a few weeks, all the planning and logistics. Production to take place over four weeks in April as it’s best to film outside of hurricane season. 3 weeks of post production in May with content releasing in June and continuing to do so until November.
